Roberts, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LFA First Division side Down Town FC, described his election as timely and a reflection of the confidence stakeholders have in his leadership and contributions to the local game.

Speaking following his election during the LFA’s 30th Ordinary Congress, Roberts pledged to work collaboratively with fellow Executive Committee members to advance football development across the country.

“I sincerely appreciate everyone who patiently stayed for more than five hours to participate in the process and cast their votes in my support during the election,” Roberts said. “Your trust and belief in my leadership demonstrate the unity and collective vision we all share for the advancement of football in Liberia.”

Roberts emphasized that his victory did not come as a surprise, noting that his years of commitment and proven track record in club management played a significant role in earning the confidence of the delegates.

Under his leadership, Down Town FC has experienced steady progress, including a remarkable ascension from Liberia’s Third Division to the top-tier First Division within just three years.

He stated that his elevation to the Executive Committee reflects the hard work he has consistently invested in football administration and development.

He further extended his appreciation to club presidents, delegates, supporters, and members of the broader football community who participated in the congress and backed his candidacy.

“We sincerely appreciate everyone who dedicated their valuable time and support during the 30th Ordinary Congress of the Liberia Football Association,” he noted.

As he begins his tenure on the Executive Committee, Roberts assured stakeholders that he remains committed to promoting unity, growth, and transformation within Liberian football.

Meanwhile, supporters and sympathizers of Down Town FC have expressed confidence in Roberts’ ability to contribute positively to the administration and development of the game at the national level.

Roberts concluded by thanking well-wishers who stood by him throughout his journey, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in building a stronger future for the sport.

“Together, we will continue to work towards unity, growth, and a brighter future for football in Liberia,” he said.
