Accuracy is at the heart of our journalism. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and openly, so readers can trust what they read on FrontPage Africa.
How to request a correction
Email [email protected] with:
- the link to the article,
- what you believe is wrong, and
- any evidence or documents that support the correction.
Every request is reviewed by an editor. We aim to respond within two working days.
How we correct
- Corrections: when we publish a factual error, we fix it in the article and add a note at the end explaining what was changed and when. For example: “Correction (12 October 2026): An earlier version of this story misstated the amount of the contract. It is US$2 million, not US$20 million.”
- Clarifications: when a story is accurate but could be misunderstood, we add a note that explains it more clearly.
- Updates: when a developing story changes, we update it and note what is new.
- Serious errors: where an error is significant, for example a wrongly named person or an unfair allegation, we correct it as a priority and may publish a separate correction.
We do not quietly change or remove published stories to hide mistakes. Typing and spelling errors that do not change the meaning may be fixed without a note.
Right of reply
If you or your organisation were the subject of our reporting and believe you were treated unfairly, contact us. We will consider publishing your response.
Requests to remove stories
We do not remove accurate reporting because it is unwelcome. In exceptional cases, for example where a story puts someone at real risk of harm, the editor will consider updating or removing it.
