Serving as guest speaker at the 10th graduation convocation of the Patmelia Academy in Paynesville, outside Monrovia Senator Joseph delivered a motivational message in which he unscored the importance of education, hard work, and parental guidance in shaping the next generation.

“Education is the foundation of every strong nation, and you, the students, are the ones who will one day steer Liberia’s destiny. Forget the difficulties, the sufferings, for they will always be there. I too, went through the same as you, but I took my lessons seriously, respected my teachers, and remained disciplined so because I knew that my tomorrow was not going to be like that. You, the graduates here today, I charge you to do the same, because you will be the leaders this country needs,” Senator Joseph told the attentive graduates amid cheers from them, their parents and well-wishers who trooped in at the Paynesville City Hall.

The Montserrado lawmaker also commended parents and teachers for their sacrifices in preparing Liberia’s children, stressing that their role is indispensable to nation-building.

“Parents and teachers are unsung heroes. Despite challenges, you continue to invest in the growth of our children. I salute your dedication,” he added.
