Dweh initially joined Viktoria Plzeň in the summer of 2023 for a trial period. His impressive performances earned him a one-year loan with an option to buy, which the club exercised shortly after. The latest extension reflects Viktoria’s confidence in his abilities and long-term contribution to the team.

During his time in the red and blue jersey, Dweh has made 115 appearances, including 36 in European competitions, contributing seven goals and seven assists. His consistent performances have helped Viktoria Plzeň remain competitive both domestically and in Europe.

Before moving to Europe, Dweh developed his skills in Liberia, beginning his career with third-division outfit Pepper FC. He later joined LPRC Oilers, where he won the league title and represented the club in the CAF Champions League, showcasing his talent on the continental stage.

“Sampson Dweh has made incredible progress with us in two years. He is an important element of our defense and has repeatedly demonstrated his qualities both in domestic competition and in Europe. He has our full trust, and this has now been reflected in the extension of his contract until 2029,” said Viktoria Plzeň’s sports director Daniel Kolář.

Dweh has also been a key member of the Liberian national team since his debut and is widely regarded as a future captain, with many in Liberia looking to him as a leader for the next generation of the Lone Stars.

“I am happy in Viktoria and I appreciate that the club trusts me so much. I will do my best for our common club success,” Dweh said.

The extension marks another proud moment for Liberian football, as Dweh continues to establish himself on the European stage while inspiring young Liberian players aspiring to play abroad.
