Liberia: New Bea Mountain Coach Sannah Faces High Expectations from Fans to Deliver First LFA Title

Sannah, a well-known figure in Liberian football, was brought in to lead the “Gold Boys” to their first-ever LFA championship title.

Monrovia, Liberia – Newly appointed FC Bea Mountain head coach, Cooper Sannah, is already facing mounting pressure from fans and supporters of the Grand Cape Mount-based club to secure the Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division title in the upcoming season.

Sannah, a well-known figure in Liberian football, was brought in to lead the “Gold Boys” to their first-ever LFA championship title—a feat that has eluded the club for more than seven years since their promotion to the top division.

Omaru Hoff, a resident of Senji Town in Grand Cape Mount County, expressed confidence in the appointment and believes Coach Sannah has the pedigree to bring silverware to the county.

“I know Coach Sannah very well. He is one of the most successful coaches in Liberian football,” Hoff said. “I wasn’t surprised by the appointment. What we want from him is for him to win the First Division championship title. Bea Mountain has spent more than seven years in the league but is yet to win the title. We want him to do that not only for the club but for the county at large.”

Hoff added that he hopes Sannah will replicate the tactical discipline and coaching strategies that led teams like BYC, LPRC Oilers, and Watanga FC to domestic league success.

Mustapha Kiazolu, a Cape Mount native currently living in Monrovia, described the appointment as “timely and very encouraging,” saying that many players at Bea Mountain are already familiar with Coach Sannah’s system, having faced his former teams such as LISCR FC, LPRC Oilers, and Watanga FC.

“Coach Sannah is a highly successful coach,” Kiazolu said. “The players should cooperate with him and focus on working toward the LFA First Division title. He knows how to win, and the team must rise to the challenge.”

Meanwhile, Allieu Sombai, a resident of Robertsport City in Grand Cape Mount, called on the new coach to ensure merit-based player selection.

“We want him to choose the best players,” Sombai stated. “He must separate the sheep from the goats so that the strongest and most committed players represent Bea Mountain in every match.”

Coach Cooper Sannah brings a wealth of experience and a winning record to Bea Mountain. Under his leadership, several clubs have achieved top-tier success, and expectations are high that he can deliver similar results in Grand Cape Mount County.
