
Monrovia-The Liberia Football Association first Division League is getting tougher game after game as big spender FC Fassell has reclaimed the first place position following their win over Heaven Eleven FC.

The Soccer Missionaries who lost the league table to LPRC Oilers last week when they settled to a 1-1 draw with Global Pharma FC returned to the top of the after beating Heaven Eleven FC 1-0 at the SKD practice pitch.
Coach Ivan Minnaert’s Fassell Football Club needed a late goal from Obed sealed their win.
The attacker was right in time to hit in a right-footed shot on the rebound from six-yard over Heaven Eleven Football Club at the Samuel K. Doe Practice Pitch in Paynesville.
Sunday’s win took Fassell Football Club to 17 Points from FIVE wins, and TWO draws without a SINGLE defeat in the 2024-25 1st Division League.
Fassell currently has only the league title to fight for following their surprised elimination from the Orange Cup by little know District 17 Academy.
At the start of the game and during the full ninety minutes of the match few fans of the club were seen with placards demanding coach Ivan Minnaert to win or lose his job.
But at the sound of the final whistle Fassell FC took home all three points to silence the fans.
Meanwhile in the late kickoff on Sunday in the LFA first division league, LPRC Oilers FC suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of FC BEA Mountain at the Tusa field.
In another interesting match Paynesville FC increase the pressure on Coach Cooper Sannah side Watanga FC with a 3-2 win at the Dorris Williams Sports Stadium in Buchanan City.
The champions have had a slow start to the season accumulating just a win and two draws from their opening seven games.
At the D-Tweh sports pitch in New Kru Town , the Shipping Boys of LISCR FC returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Blackman Warriors who recently appointed former LISCR boss Sam Chabli.
LISCR has not had a perfect start to the season and look out of the title race so far but, they managed to pulled a win away from home over Blackman Warrior who themselves are still struggling since they got promoted to the first division .
At the Nancy B Doe Sports Pitch in Kakata City, Margibi County, Shaita FC got the wrong side of Mighty Barrolle as the Rollers collected their first three points of the season with a 1-0 win.
Also at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville Freeport FC beat Global Pharma FC 1-0 .
