The tournament is scheduled to kick off on September 13, 2026, at the Weelor Sports Ground in Weelor Town, Tewor District.

The donation to each district included three 25kg bags of rice, two bags of onions, cooking oil, and Vita seasoning.

While the sports items include  two sets of jerseys, two footballs, and training bibs to both districts as his personal support, urging district officials to ensure the items are used for their intended purpose.

Speaking during the presentation, Tucker called on the citizens of Cape Mount to set aside political and personal differences to unite behind the local tournament, which he believes is vital for identifying talent ahead of the 2026/2027 National County Sports Meet.

“I think we all know that the main aim of our upcoming district meet is for county sports officials to scout potential players as they prepare for the national tournament scheduled for November,” Tucker said.

“This will allow those selected to fight and deliver strong results in both football and kickball.”

Pokpa District enters the tournament as defending champions in football, while Commonwealth District holds the kickball title.

Tucker, a native of Pokpa, urged his district’s technical staff and players to maintain the high standard of sportsmanship that drove their previous championship run.
