In an exclusive interview with FrontPageAfrica after the Liberian champions completed their second training session on Thursday, Nimely expressed that the team’s motivation is at an all-time high, united in spirit and discipline.
“The coaches have told me that we must attack, and we will attack. Nothing less than an attacking strategy on Saturday—we’re going to score goals,” Nimely declared emphatically. “We just need to score goals. Regardless of the outcome, we want to put points on the board.”
“We are highly motivated. From training to the hotel, we sit together, we lecture each other, and we do everything together. We are ready to give our all on Saturday—nothing less than 100 percent, even 150 percent.”

The Soccer Missionaries have settled in and are now fully focused on fine-tuning their preparations under Bosnian-Australian coach Amir Alagić. Wednesday’s training session concentrated on defending and transition play.
On Thursday, Alagić’s session will emphasize improving sharpness in attack—an area where the Liberian champions struggled during the first leg—and will be pivotal in determining the outcome in North Africa.
For Fassell, the clean sheet at home was encouraging, but it also means they must score away from home to advance. A score draw would send the Liberians through, while another 0-0 result would lead to penalties.
The Skipper reflecting on the first leg goalless draw, noted that their defensive strategy worked well against one of Africa’s most respected clubs.
“Playing MC Alger, a big club in Africa, we focused on not conceding, and through hard work, we managed to hold them to a draw. This time, there will be no room for the Algerians.”
“We know they are strong on the ball, so we won’t give them space. We will play man to man, because if you give them space, they will exploit the spaces.”
Nimely also assured Liberians back home that the team is ready to deliver.
“To our fans, family members, and well-wishers, we ask you to keep us in your prayers. Just like you did during Saturday’s match at the SKD, you supported us wholeheartedly. Don’t worry—we will give our best. We will fight for you and promise to bring pride back to Mama Liberia.”
