The visit included a stop at the U.S.-Liberia Partnership for Research on Vaccines and Infectious Diseases in Liberia (PREVAIL) where collaborative clinical trials and research are being conducted on diseases of mutual concern.

These studies continue to play a significant role in shaping global public health policy, vaccines, and therapeutics.

The delegation also toured diagnostic facilities, including the imaging center, showcasing recent U.S. Government and PREVAIL contributions aimed at strengthening Liberia’s health system.

Chargé Zadrozny was joined by colleagues from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), who witnessed firsthand the joint efforts to enhance clinical services, combat infectious diseases, and expand health research capacity.

The visit underscored the longstanding U.S.-Liberia health partnership, demonstrating how collaboration between the two nations continues to make both countries safer, healthier and more prosperous.
