BALTIMORE – Seeking to diversify the fashion industry and showcase top independent fashion brands from Liberia and around the world that are big names in their prospective countries, RUNWAY LIBERIA INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE 5th Edition will launch June 22, 2019.
In commemoration of its 5th Edition, Runway Liberia International has partnered with Ashley Stewart Madermin Mall Store in Baltimore, Maryland to introduce its 1st Curvy Model Showcase at the prestigious international fashion event. The event that draws Top Liberian Designers alongside Top Designers from around the world is scheduled for June 22, 2019 at the historic Baltimore War Memorial Building in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The event founder and Executive Director Junda Morris-Kennedy has put the fashion industry on notice: “Curvy women all around the world want to be fashionable, wear well-made clothes. It’s about time the industry starts seriously paying attention to every body type. We have money to spend and we’re happy to give it to the designers and stores who help us celebrate our curves.”
Besides Ashley Stewart the line-up of designers who will showcase their collections include: Monsio Couture (Designer to the First Lady of Sierra Leone and the President of Liberia); Nubi Collection of Ethiopia; R&L Authentics (of the Lousianna/Sierra Leone), Maria Isabel Couture of Bolivia. and Celebrity Brand D’maxsi Studio of Virginia/Ghana, and more.
