Jonathan Armah Baxter, former NPA Anchors striker from the 1980s and early 1990s, applauded the ongoing upgrades, saying they provide opportunities that were unavailable during his playing days.

“Back in our time, we didn’t have access to quality pitches. Today’s players are fortunate to train on well-maintained fields, which will help them develop their skills and grow in the game,” Baxter told FrontPageAfrica.

He praised LFA President Mustapha Raji and his administration for spearheading the renovation projects, noting that his efforts extend beyond Monrovia to other counties where first and second division clubs are based.

“I thank Mr. Mustapha Raji and his team for prioritizing football infrastructure across Liberia. These renovations are reigniting the passion for football among young people,” Baxter said.

The former striker also urged young players to maximize the benefits of the improved facilities by focusing on their training and maintaining discipline on and off the pitch.

“Talent is important, but dedication and hard work are key. Players must commit fully to training if they want to succeed in football,” he advised.
