Liberia: “We Will Be On The Ballot” – Henry Costa Reiterates Quest To Be Vice Standard Bearer to Unity Party’s Joseph Boakai

PAYNESVILLE – Popular talk-show host Henry P. Costa has reiterated that he will be on the ballot no matter what happens in Liberia’s upcoming general and presidential elections.

“We are here, and we will be on the ballot, and we will be in the next government to bring change to this country,” Costa said.

The controversial talk-show host made the statement on Tuesday at the Paynesville City Hall, where he had gone to partake in the National Election Commission’s ongoing Biometric Voters Registration process in District #5.

Costa, whose name initially surfaced on social media regarding his ambition to contest the Montserrado Senatorial seat, is also desiring to contest as a running mate to the Unity Party Standard Bearer, Joseph Boakai if the position were offered.

On Tuesday, Costa said: “No matter the outcome, whether I am chosen as Boakai’s running mate or not, I will be on the ballot.”

“This country belongs to us, the young people, and we are the ones who will inherit this country. So we aren’t bothered by what people say about us, that we can’t be this or that, but to remain persistent in our belief.

“We are never too young to lead, so I won’t allow anybody to put me down and say I can’t be this or that, but will continue to do the work as hard as we can and leave the rest with God. No man born of a woman can stop God’s will for our lives.

“So, we aren’t carried away by the stomps because it can’t break us. We have been battle-tested, and where we have reached now, talking cannot break us,” Costa said.

According to Costa, “2023 will be the beginning of a new Liberia where power will be shared with all Liberians, whether rich or poor.”

He further called on Liberians who are 18 years and above to take an interest in the ongoing voter registration process, which is guaranteed by the laws of Liberia.
