The University of Liberia Alumni Association in the Americas (ULIBAAA) is set to participate in the landmark 75th Founders’ Day Anniversary celebration of the University of Liberia (UL), reinforcing the strong bond between diaspora alumni and their alma mater.
A high-profile 15-member delegation, led by ULIBAAA National President Dr. Fatima Greaves-Kwekwe, began departing the United States on February 10 and will be in Liberia from February 11 to 28, 2026, according to ULIBAAA Vice President Ezax Smith.
“This visit marks a significant moment for ULIBAAA, a vibrant organization dedicated to fostering academic excellence, alumni engagement, and development projects at UL,” Smith said.
Packed Anniversary Schedule
The delegation will participate in a series of major anniversary events, including:
• Thanksgiving Service
• Anniversary Parade
• Arts & Crafts Exhibition
• Student Day
• Faculty & Staff Day
• Alumni Homecoming
• UL Alumni Chorus Concert
• 75th Anniversary Dinner and Fundraising Ball

Strategic Engagements and Development Focus
Beyond the celebrations, the delegation will hold strategic meetings with key stakeholders, including:
• University of Liberia Student Union (ULSU)
• Alumni Association of the University of Liberia (AAUL)
• Members of the National Legislature
These engagements aim to strengthen collaboration and advance ULIBAAA’s mission, particularly in enhancing students’ academic experiences and overall well-being.
The delegation will also tour several ongoing ULIBAAA initiatives, including:
• The Fendell Light-Up Project
• The Alumni Resource Center
• Production sites for the potential Phase II of the Chairs Project
Smith noted that plans are underway to establish new partnerships with local businesses to further expand ULIBAAA’s impact on education and infrastructure development in Liberia.
Strengthening Diaspora Ties
ULIBAAA expressed honor in sharing the occasion with the University of Liberia Alumni Chorus (ULAC).
