The gathering was marked by traditional songs, prayers, and public declarations of support, all underscoring the community’s appreciation for Rep. Fahnbulleh’s visible development efforts and his consistent engagement with the people of the district.

Speaking at the program, Rep. Fahnbulleh expressed gratitude to the Dekegai Women and the broader Yarbaryon Clan for the recognition. He described the honor as both humbling and encouraging, saying it motivates him to continue working in service of his constituents.

He said he was deeply grateful for the warm reception and the acknowledgment of their collective efforts to improve the district. He added that the community’s expression of support and pledge of unwavering commitment to his leadership meant a great deal and would continue to inspire him to work even harder.

Organizers of the event said the decision to honor Rep. Fahnbulleh was based on what they called the “visible changes” he has brought to the district since taking office in 2023. They commended him for his efforts in community engagement, responsiveness to local needs, and extending government presence to remote areas such as Popota Town.

A spokesperson for the Dekegai Women said they were honoring the lawmaker not merely because of his title, but because of his commitment and results. She noted that Rep. Fahnbulleh listens to the people, consistently shows up in their communities, and delivers on his promises.

According to her, the women feel seen, heard, and included in the development process, which is a departure from past experiences.

The ceremony included traditional blessings, symbolic gifts, and pledges of continued support. The women urged Rep. Fahnbulleh not to relent in his efforts and reaffirmed their commitment to standing with him in his pursuit of development across the district.

Local leaders echoed the sentiments of the women, with several elders and youth leaders praising the lawmaker for his contributions to education, health, and infrastructure development. They also highlighted his inclusive leadership style, which they said bridges gaps between traditional leaders, women, youth, and formal government institutions.

One elder remarked that Rep. Fahnbulleh is not a leader who appears only during election season, but one who remains consistently engaged with his people. According to him, the representative listens, advises, and delivers — an approach he described as exemplary leadership.

In closing, Rep. Fahnbulleh reiterated his commitment to the development of the district and emphasized that his leadership will remain people-centered.

He assured the people of Popota and the entire Yarbaryon Clan that his office would continue to work closely with communities to ensure that development is inclusive and responsive to the needs of all citizens. He thanked the residents for their trust, promising that their confidence in his leadership would not be in vain.

The program is seen as another milestone in Rep. Fahnbulleh’s grassroots outreach efforts, which have seen increasing citizen participation and support in recent months.
