Lawmaker Gray is also the National Vice Chairman for Political Affairs of the governing Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).

The items donated include: walkers and crutches, syringes, PPEs, surgical gloves and boots, Suction tubing, amongst others.

The clinics and hospital that benefitted were: Renew Hope, Johnson Clinic, Soniwein Health Center,  and The Grace of God Medical Clinic.

Others are: Few Diagnostic Clinic and Laboratory, ACFI Clinic and the SDA Cooper Hospital.

Making the presentation to the beneficiaries, Representative Gray said the gesture was intended to beef up the efforts of the medical centers and clinics in the midst of challenges.

He noted that despite the huge constraints these medical centers and clinics continue to play a pivotal role towards the improvement of Liberia’s health sector.

He added that with limited resources, risks, among others the benefitting clinics and medical centers remain steadfast and committed to providing better healthcare delivery to hundreds of citizens on a daily basis.

“We want to appreciate the fact that you continue to make immense sacrifices to the health sector of our country. Without the doctors, nurses and the teachers, we couldn’t have become what we are today. We managed to secure some medical supplies and we have decided that six clinics and one hospital will receive.”

He, however, called on the beneficiaries to see the donation as a little token of appreciation in honor of the numerous efforts towards saving lives not only in the district, but Liberia as large.

Also speaking the Chairman of the District Development Council Chairperson of Patrick Karmoh the gesture from the CDC lawmaker is not the first of its kind in the district.

He said the presentation of the medical supplies will help ensure the wellbeing of citizens in the district.

He encouraged the medical doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers to see the donation as a sign of motivation to do more in the execution of their assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Receiving the donation, Thomas Wolobah of the Grace of God Medical Clinic, commended Representative Gray for the donation.

“This is not Representative Gray first time. He has been giving back to us. For the fact that we chose to serve humanity, when somebody comes to help, we should appreciate them.”

He, however, used the occasion to call for the establishment of a health union in the district to collectively combat against the outbreak of any disease or epidemic.

He said with unity, medical centers will now be fully capacitated to curtail the spread of diseases in the area.

Wolobah, however, urged his colleagues to use the medical supplies donated for the purpose intended.

“We are glad to come to this all-important call. Seeing these medical supplies for our patients use, I want to say thanks to Honorable Gray; we appreciate you for that and as we use these supplies on our patients for their wellbeing, so shall God bless you,” Christine Geekor from the SDA Cooper Hospital stated.
