Liberia National Police Establishes Modern Conference Room with Translation System at Police Academy

Monrovia-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has established a modern conference room equipped with a language translation system at the Liberia National Police Academy, a move aimed at strengthening training, communication, and professional engagement within the institution.

According to the LNP, the newly established facility is designed to host high-level meetings, specialized training programs, and engagements with both national and international partners.

The initiative is part of the institution’s broader effort to modernize its training infrastructure and enhance institutional capacity.

The conference room is outfitted with a large meeting table, microphones, and advanced translation devices capable of supporting multilingual discussions.

Police Spokesman Sam Collins in a statement issued on Monday,  March 9 said the addition will enable officers and partners from different linguistic backgrounds to communicate effectively during conferences, workshops, and other official engagements.

The project was implemented under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General for Manpower Development and Training, Sadatu L. M. Reeves, who has been leading efforts to strengthen professional training and development within the police force.

The LNP press statement maintained that the initiative also aligns with the vision of Inspector General Gregory O. W. Coleman, who continues to push for reforms aimed at improving the operational effectiveness and professional standards of the Liberia National Police.

The LNP noted that the modern conference facility will not only support internal training programs but also facilitate collaboration with international partners who regularly engage the LNP on issues related to security, capacity building, and law enforcement best practices.

The LNP reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its personnel through improved training facilities and strategic partnerships.
