The contest will kick off with an open casting call on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Passion, located at the Catholic Hospital Junction in Monrovia.

Following the casting, selected finalists will take part in an intensive Model Boot Camp and Photoshoots scheduled throughout September. During this period, participants will receive professional training in runway walking, personal branding, media engagement, and high-fashion photography, guided by industry professionals.

The contest will culminate in a Grand Finale in October 2025, where one winner will be crowned.

Eligibility and Vision

The competition is open to Liberians aged 16 to 28. Organizers emphasize inclusivity, encouraging entries from individuals of all body types, skin tones, and backgrounds. While prior modeling experience is not required, a representative from BEX Brand noted that the judges are looking for “storytellers who embody confidence and authenticity.”

The Grand Prize

The winner will receive an all-expense-paid VIP experience to Ghana, where they will make their international runway debut at the prestigious Runway International Shows: Fashion Meets Food event, set for December 13, 2025, in Accra.

Other rewards include a professional modeling portfolio, branding and style mentorship, and direct exposure to international fashion scouts and agencies—a package organizers describe as a launchpad to a global modeling career.

Boosting Liberia’s Creative Industry

The launch of the Liberia Model Contest comes amid growing momentum in the country’s creative sector. The initiative celebrates contributions from industry trailblazers like designer Chris Collins and photographer Kelvin Bendu.

An official from MICAT said the event aligns with the government’s goal of “creating pathways for Liberian youth, transforming local passion into global opportunity.”
