The award, presented during a colorful ceremony on July 21, celebrates Seton’s outstanding contributions to sports governance and her transformative leadership in advancing women’s football across Liberia.

Organized annually by the Liberia Crusaders for Peace in partnership with the Government of Liberia, the Golden Image Awards recognize individuals making national and international impact.

Adding to the milestone, Seton was also conferred with the Global Most Influential Women Ambassador Honor by the African Intercontinental Network (AIN).

A Recognition of Behind-the-Scenes Impact

Reflecting on the dual honors, Seton described the awards as a powerful reminder that dedicated service to the nation does not go unnoticed.

“These prestigious recognitions are a powerful reminder that while we work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, there are always people watching, appreciating, and acknowledging the impact we make,” Seton said.

She dedicated the accolades to young women across the country, encouraging them to break barriers and strive for leadership roles.

“These honors are not just for me, but for every young woman dreaming and believing,” she remarked. “This is a sign that it is your time, and you can achieve far more than you imagine.”

Commending the Football Community

Acknowledging the collaborative effort behind her success, Seton expressed profound gratitude to the broader football administration, emphasizing the pivotal role of women in sports development.

“It took a whole village,” Seton stated. “To the football family especially my women in football keep grinding. Your hard work is not going unnoticed.”

She noted that the recognition serves as renewed motivation to serve with integrity, passion, and purposeful leadership, both in Liberia and on the international stage.

Seton commended the Liberia Crusaders for Peace and the GIA Secretariat for organizing a memorable event, offering special appreciation to former Culture Ambassador Queen Julie Endee and her team, as well as the African Intercontinental Network, for the honors.

Championing Female Leadership in Liberian Sports

The accolades come at a pivotal moment, as women increasingly take on high-level administrative and executive roles within Liberian sports. As the head of women’s football at the LFA, Seton remains one of the most prominent female voices driving structural reform and gender inclusion in the nation’s sports sector.

Concluding her remarks, Seton gave glory to God, expressing optimism that the recognition will inspire a new generation of young Liberian girls to pursue excellence in football, governance, and beyond.
