The Liberian club ended its debut season in the continental tournament with a 3-0 loss to MC Alger on Saturday night at the Ali Ammar Stadium in Douéra.
“Today’s result in Algeria was not what we had hoped for, but it does not define who we are as a club,” Kuoh said. “Competing against MC Alger, one of Africa’s most prominent football clubs, has been a valuable experience for our developing team and serves as a reminder of the level we must reach to consistently compete on the continental stage.”
Despite the loss, Kuoh praised the efforts of the team and the technical staff throughout the campaign.
“I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our players and technical staff for their hard work, courage, and discipline during this CAF Champions League campaign. You represented Liberia with pride and gave everything on the field. Although the scoreline may not reflect your effort, your commitment has not gone unnoticed,” he said.
He also acknowledged the support of fans, both in Liberia and abroad, and highlighted their role in motivating the team.
“We are building something lasting and strong, and today’s result only strengthens our resolve to improve, work harder, and come back stronger,” Kuoh stated.
According to him, the club’s early exit marks the beginning of a new chapter, one focused on structural improvements and long-term development.
“This experience opens a new chapter in our story, guiding our next steps as we invest in player development, strengthen our structure, and continue building a football organization that can compete with the very best in Africa,” he added.
Kuoh concluded on a hopeful note: “We accept this result with humility, but we also have confidence in the brighter days ahead. FC Fassell will grow stronger, be better prepared, and be more determined than ever.”
