Liberia: Cassell Kuoh Celebrates Fourth Trophy of the Season

…As Destiny KC Clinches LKF Knockout Championship

Monrovia, Liberia – Businessman and football executive Mr. Anthony Cassell Kuoh is basking in yet another moment of glory after his women backed kickball side, Destiny KC of Montserrado, clinched the 2025 Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) Lottery Cup (Knockout Championship), sealing their fourth major trophy of the 2025 season.

The victory came after a thrilling final in which Destiny FC displayed the resilience, skill, and teamwork that have become the hallmarks of their dominance in Liberia’s traditional women’s sports this year.

In the mouthwatering grand final played at the SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville on Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Destiny beat top-notch Naetoh KC 3-2 with one inning on their side to spare.

With the latest silverware, the club has now completed a remarkable season sweep for what promises to be Cassell’s sport venture, with fC Fassell having also won the Liberia Football Association (LFA) National League, Determine Girls winning the female version of the LFA First Division and also winning the female Knockout championship.

An elated Kuoh, speaking at a ceremony held in Monrovia, Mr. Kuoh described the achievement as “a testament to hard work, discipline, and determination” by the girls of Destiny KC.

Destiny started the 2025 league season on a poor footing – losing their opening four matches in the National Lottery Authority (NLA) sponsored league, but built momentum on the infiltration of the spiritual presence of Kuoh through his confidants, whose financial and moral support inspired the 72nd based club.

Mr. Kuoh praised the players, technical staff, and supporters for their collective effort, noting that Destiny FC’s success is the result of commitment and resilience.

“This is more than just a win for Destiny KC. It means a lot to us as a team. This means that we have so far won four trophies this season – one from FC Fassell, two from Determine Girls and today, we are celebrating the kickball trophy won by Destiny,” he furthered.

“It’s a statement that with the right support, women’s sports in Liberia, particularly Liberia’s only invented game, can reach world-class levels. I’m proud of what we have achieved this season, and I dedicate this victory to our fans and to every young girl who dreams of playing this game at the highest level.”

Kuoh stated that the focus will shift to maintaining the team’s winning mentality and preparing for next year’s competitions, where Destiny KC will aim to defend the Knockout and fight to win the National League.

“This is not the end; it’s just the beginning. Our Destiny is to keep winning, keep inspiring, and keep raising the flag of Liberian women’s sports.”

Team President Mr. Emmanuel M. Weedee-Conway, while presenting the trophy and a medal to Mr. Kuoh, extolled the Liberian businessman for his numerous philanthropic initiatives that are beyond bonds.

With kickball being the second most popular but least supported sports in terms of financial incentives, he craved the indulgence of CEO to provide full support to Destiny and by extension, the Federation.

The LKF Knockout Championship final, played before a lively crowd, saw Destiny KC overcoming their opponents with sharp fielding, aggressive base running, and clinical batting.

The team’s captain, Beatrice Young, credited the victory to unity and focus, saying the players were determined to finish the season on a perfect note.

Sports writers and analysts present at the stadium have hailed Destiny KC’s campaign as one of the most promising stories in recent LKF history. They argue that the win not only cements the team’s status as one of the premier side in Liberian kickball, but also raises the competitive standard for the sport nationwide.

“Congratulations to Emmanuel Emmanuel Moriero Weedee-Conway Destiny KC for winning the LKF National Lottery Cup. Destiny have beaten 2nd Division Neatoh KC 3-2 in an entertaining final at the SKD Sports Complex to lift their first trophy. I think this is one of the most promised story – a story of self-motivation, a story of self-confidence, a story of belief. Seeing a team to lose all four opening matches and moving on to be a winner in the end, to many, is unimaginable,” indicated Kolubah Zayzay in a news analysis.
