
MONROVIA — In a disturbing incident at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Stadium, Moses Garzeawu, a BBC Liberia correspondent, was forcibly handled by a Liberia National Police officer.

The altercation took place while Garzeawu was en route to cover the National County Sports Meet games.
Garzeawu, dressed casually in shorts and slippers, was seen being dragged out of the renowned SKD Sports Complex, an act that has raised serious concerns regarding the treatment of journalists in the country.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for accountability and respect for press freedom.
