GANTA — The Special Aide to Liberia’s Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Edwin G. Korden, has donated fifty (50) bags of cement and LD$26,450 to the Life Is Good Disabled Organization in Ganta as a gesture of solidarity with the community.

The donation, delivered on Mr. Korden’s behalf by Cyrus Vulu, will support the organization’s ongoing development and infrastructure projects aimed at improving the welfare of persons living with disabilities.
Receiving the gift, the head of the organization, Abigail Gonkarnue, expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Korden for what she called a timely and impactful contribution.
She said the cement and cash will greatly assist the group in advancing construction and other projects designed to improve the lives of members and the wider community.
“This generous donation comes at a crucial time for our organization,” Madam Gonkarnue said. “It reflects genuine concern for the empowerment, inclusion, and well‑being of persons with disabilities.”
She praised Mr. Korden’s humanitarian spirit and urged citizens, businesses and development partners to emulate his example by supporting vulnerable groups across Liberia.
Mr. Korden is well known in Nimba County for remaining connected to his roots and for continuing to support local development even after assuming national office.
His contributions to Nimba and Liberia have included infrastructure support, skills training, agricultural assistance, women’s empowerment initiatives, youth development and other local empowerment projects.
He is currently building an elementary school in District Three, Nimba County, further demonstrating his commitment to community development.
Mr. Korden’s recent donation underscores the importance of collective efforts in promoting social inclusion and creating opportunities for marginalized communities.
The Life Is Good Disabled Organization remains committed to advocating for the rights, welfare and empowerment of persons living with disabilities through advocacy, community engagement and development initiatives that foster self‑reliance and improved living conditions.
