Bipartisan Alliance for Global Health Security Hosts Book Launch for “Collapse and Resiliency: The Inside Story of Liberia’s Unprecedented Ebola Response”

MONROVIA – The Bipartisan Alliance for Global Health Security is set to host a book launch for “Collapse and Resiliency: The Inside Story of Liberia’s Unprecedented Ebola Response” by Dr. Tolbert Nyenswah and Dr. Mardia Stone. This enlightening event will unfold on Monday, November 20, featuring a public in-person and webcast conversation from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, followed by an in-person-only reception and book signing from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. East City Books will offer books for purchase at the venue.

The book delves into Dr. Tolbert Nyenswah’s firsthand account of Liberia’s response to the Ebola epidemic. From his childhood in a rural Liberian village to spearheading the country’s battle against the outbreak, Nyenswah shares a deeply personal narrative. Despite a weakened healthcare system, Nyenswah’s journey recounts how Liberia overcame the deadly epidemic, reflecting on the broader impact of war and disease on rebuilding a resilient health system and society.
