CMC Political Leader Rep. Musa Hassan Bility

In a significant move aimed at improving infrastructure and boosting economic activities, the Political Leader of the Citizens Movement For Change (CMC), Representative Musa Hassan Bility, recently announced comprehensive plans to pave and rehabilitate roads across Nimba County before the 2029 Election.

This initiative is set to transform transportation within the region, enhancing connectivity between towns, villages and agricultural zones.

Speaking passionately about the project, Bility emphasized that Nimbaians will soon enjoy vastly improved road networks, which are crucial for accelerating development and facilitating trade.

“Before the 2029 Election, we envision a Nimba County where every major farm-to-market route is fully rehabilitated and paved. This will not only ease the movement of goods and people but also improve access to essential services like healthcare and education,” he stated.

The roadmap for this ambitious project involves extensive work across the 19 administrative districts of Nimba County. Bility revealed plans to visit various towns and villages to closely oversee the rehabilitation process, ensuring that the road works meet high standards of durability and quality.

This attention to detail aims to prevent the deterioration of roads shortly after completion, making the improvements sustainable in the long term.

By focusing on farm to market roads, the initiative targets key arteries that connect rural farming communities to larger commercial centers.

This will provide farmers with more reliable routes to transport their produce, reduce post-harvest losses, and open up new opportunities for trade and investment in the region.

Enhanced roads are expected to attract businesses and promote economic growth, ultimately improving the livelihoods of thousands of residents.

The plans also hint at job creation, as the roads rehabilitation work will require a workforce composed of local laborers, engineers and contractors. This could inject new income streams into the community while fostering skills development in infrastructure maintenance and construction.

Community leaders and residents have welcomed the announcement with optimism, recognizing the vital role that improved roads play in development.

For many, the initiative represents a hopeful step towards a more connected, prosperous Nimba County in the years leading up to the 2029 elections.

As the county gears up for this transformative infrastructure upgrade, all eyes will be on Bility’s team to deliver on their promise of a better, more accessible Nimba.
