Monrovia – Big-Boy Boima Sackei, as he is popularly referred to, is the latest to be scouted by the Liberty Party scouting team, soliciting his signature to a membership form which commits him to the party.

Sackie is believed to be a strong member of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) who denounced his membership of the CDC by his declaration of membership for the Liberty Party.
He moved to the Liberty Party with huge number of followers, according to Mr. Darius Dillon, Liberty Party’s vice chair for political affairs.
Big boy Boima Sackie signing his membership over the weekend vowed to ensure that the party is victorious in the 2017 election.
Sackie: “I come here today with a commitment to helping the LP become the next government to take over the ruling Unity party. I am committed to ensuring this vision.”
Accepting the new signing, Cllr. Charles Brumskine – political leader of the Liberty Party – said the coming of new influential members into the party shows signs of a victory for the party in the 2017 Presidential and general elections.
Cllr. Brumskine: “The wind of change is blowing in the direction of the Liberty Party because people from all walks of life are coming to understand that leadership for our country does not only come from the head but also from the heart.
“The Liberian people are looking for someone who has made the sacrifice for our country.”
Brumskine believed that people who are joining the party represent the missing links that the LP never had in the past two elections, something he said led to the defeat of the party.
“Every one of those joining the Liberty Party represent the missing link of our party we lost two times because we did not have these links onboard so everyone is connecting we are moving onto victory, nothing stopping us,” he said.
Like Cllr. Brumskine, Mr. Darius Dillon said the coming of Sackie demonstrates the preparedness of the party to enter into the 2017 elections learning from the past two defeats.
“Any political party which has gone to two elections and lost and going into the third and have not done swap analysis to know its strength and weakness and go into the election, then you’re not ready.”
“We are going into this election very prepared, but with an underdog approach,” Dillon said.
