MONROVIA – Liberian First Division runners-up Bea Mountain FC have continued their aggressive recruitment drive ahead of the 2026–2027 season by completing the signing of championship-winning midfielder Leo Zinnah from Watanga FC on a three-year deal.

The club announced Thursday that Zinnah signed a contract that will keep him at Bea Mountain until 2029, making him the latest addition to a squad determined to go one step further after narrowly missing out on last season’s Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division title.
“Transfer News Completed & Sealed. Let’s welcome central midfielder Leo. Leo Zinnah unites with us from Watanga FC on a permanent three-season deal, lasting till 2029,” Bea Mountain said in an official statement.
Zinnah arrives with an impressive pedigree, having played a pivotal role in Watanga FC’s successful 2025–2026 league title campaign.
The central midfielder scored crucial goals during the season, helping the Paynesville-based side secure the Liberian championship.
His move to Grand Cape Mount County based club continues the club’s strategy of strengthening its squad with proven winners.
Zinnah becomes the second player from Watanga’s title-winning team to join the “Gold Boys” during the current transfer window.
Earlier, Bea Mountain secured the services of top goal scorer Darius Garmondeh, another standout performer from Watanga’s championship side, underscoring the club’s determination to assemble a squad capable of clinching its first LFA First Division league title.
After finishing second in the 2025–2026 campaign, Bea Mountain have moved swiftly in the transfer market, adding players with championship-winning experience in a bid to bridge the gap at the top of Liberian football.
Shortly after the deal was finalized, Zinnah took to social media to bid an emotional farewell to Watanga FC, expressing gratitude to the club’s management, coaches, teammates, and supporters.
“After lots of prayers and careful thought, I’ve decided to leave Watanga FC. Trust me, it wasn’t an easy decision to make because all my time at the club has meant a lot to me and I cherish it all,” the midfielder wrote.
He thanked the club for giving him the opportunity to wear Watanga jersey, noting that the experience helped him grow both as a footballer and as an individual.
“I’ve learned and grown a lot here, both as a player and as a man,” Zinnah added, while paying tribute to his teammates, whom he described as brothers whose memories and bond would remain with him forever.
In closing, the midfielder emphasized that his departure was not a final farewell to his former club.
“Not a goodbye message because we are all going to see again. One love, family,” he concluded.
Zinnah is expected to join his new teammates immediately as Bea Mountain intensify preparations for the upcoming 2026–2027 season, with the club banking on its latest acquisitions to transform last season’s second-place finish into a historic league title.
