According to reports, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening, November 22, around Benson River in Hardlansville, Grand Bassa County, leaving a motorcyclist with a presumably amputated leg.

Bystanders recounted that a red vehicle transporting passengers from Monrovia to Buchanan collided with a motorcycle performing a U-turn in the middle of the road.

Residents from nearby villages rushed to the scene to assist the medical team and the police.

In a tearful mood, some of the bystanders narrated that the motorcyclist was the cause of the accident due to a lack of attention as he was executing his U-turn in the middle of the road.

Passengers of the red vehicle, including the driver, sustained minor injuries as they were rushed to the Liberian Government Hospital for treatment.

Traffic Police officers from the Grand Bassa County detachment of the Liberia National Police, who quickly arrived at the scene, are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
