The match, which kicked off at 4PM after both teams completed their warm-ups, got off to a fast start as Gardnerville FC stunned Borough early on.

Just seven minutes into the game, Gardnerville capitalized on a defensive lapse to take a 1-0 lead, putting Borough FC on the back foot.

Despite the early setback, Borough FC gradually settled into the game, showing composure and intent as they pushed forward in search of an equalizer.

Their persistence paid off in the 40th minute when Peter Sorbor stepped up and delivered a stunning free kick, curling the ball past the goalkeeper to bring Borough FC level at 1-1.

The goal injected life into the contest and shifted momentum heading into halftime.

At the break, both sides were locked at 1-1, with Sorbor’s strike canceling out Gardnerville’s early opener.

The second half saw both teams create chances, but neither could find the decisive goal.

Borough FC looked the more threatening side in spells, while Gardnerville FC remained dangerous on the counterattack.

As the final whistle blew, both teams had to settle for a share of the points in what was a competitive and balanced fixture.

For Borough FC, Sorbor’s brilliance ensured they avoided defeat, while Gardnerville FC will reflect on missed opportunities after surrendering their early lead.

The result leaves both sides with positives to build on as the Liberian football season continues to gather pace.
