Liberia: Rep. Benson Vows Greater Service Following District Traditional Council’s Recognition

Monrovia – Following a full day of appreciation and recognition by the District Traditional Council for his approved two years of stewardship, Representative Benson has pledged to intensify his efforts in delivering meaningful development and effective representation for his district.

The recognition ceremony, held under the authority of the District Traditional Council, brought together traditional leaders, elders, youth representatives, women groups, and community stakeholders who commended Rep. Benson for what they described as visible leadership, accessibility, and commitment to the welfare of the people over the past two years. Speakers at the event highlighted improvements in community engagement, legislative advocacy, and support to local initiatives as key achievements during his tenure.

In a message posted on his official social media handle shortly after the event, Rep. Benson expressed profound gratitude to the traditional leadership and residents of the district for the honor bestowed upon him.

He described the recognition as both humbling and motivating, noting that it reaffirmed his responsibility to serve with integrity and dedication.

“After 2 Years, an approval of stewardship from the Traditional Council and other Citizens is an honor I don’t take lightly especially at a ceremony graced by our District’s Mayors and Commissioners including our Police Commander and other eminent citizens. He wrote

The lawmaker emphasized that the approval of his two years of stewardship should be seen as a collective achievement, crediting community leaders, civil society actors, and ordinary citizens for their continued support and constructive engagement. He reaffirmed his focus on key priority areas including youth empowerment, education, infrastructure development, and social services.

Rep. Benson further pledged to strengthen collaboration with traditional authorities and local stakeholders, stressing that inclusive governance remains central to his approach. According to him, sustainable progress can only be achieved when elected officials and community leaders work hand in hand.

As the district looks ahead, many residents say the recognition serves as both an endorsement of Rep. Benson’s performance so far and a call for even greater impact in the years ahead.

With his renewed vow to do more, expectations are high that the coming period will see increased legislative advocacy and tangible development initiatives across the district.
