33-Year-old Liberian Man in Coma After Knife Attack in London

London – A 33-year-old Liberian man is in coma in a hospital after a knife attack in London, England.

Amara Darpoh Clarke suffered wounds to his arms, chest and abdomen on April 18 in a dispute with a neighbour over a parking space. Clarke has had to undergo six surgeries at St. George’s Hospital in Tooting following the attack and reports say the prospects are not good.

Reports note that on Monday, 18 April at approximately 3.40pm, Clarke and his girlfriend had just returned from a holiday in Greece when they noticed their 38-year-old neighbour Lee Francis, a friend for years, had blocked their drive.

The Liberian approached his neighbour and asked for the car to be removed. Francis reportedly became abusive and the situation soon escalated.

Clarke returned to his car to wait for the neighbour to come out.  Francis came out with a knife and then stabbed Clarke. Francis is now in Police custody charged with causing grievous bodily harm, according to press reports.
