Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County – Amid earsplitting applauds from thousands of supporters and well-wishers, the standard-bearer of the All Liberian Party (ALP) reminded citizens of Grand Bassa County about his plans to make a better Liberia if elected President of Liberia come this October.
In an apparent attempt to light up the port city of Buchanan, business man-turned politician Benoni Urey and his vice-presidential candidate Alexander Duopou toured the principal streets of the city before proceeding to the sports stadium.
The Urey team was in Buchanan Saturday, August 12, to celebrate festivities marking the anniversary of the All Liberian Party.
In brief remarks to his supporters, Mr. Urey lamented about the current condition of Liberia and promised to fix the numerous challenges if he wins the 2017 presidential elections.
Said Urey: We started this movement, the All Liberian Party movement to liberate us from our suppressors.
And I promise you that when we take power 2018 you will have better schools. And when we take power, you will have more money in your pocket.”
Urey went on to promise the people of Bassa that under an elected ALP government, Liberians will be able to access quality healthcare and well-equipped hospitals in the country.
Touching on education, the ALP presidential candidate guaranteed free high school education in all public schools across the country.
“To put it in simple terms my people, we promise you a better Liberia, a Liberia that won’t cater to a few people in Liberia but a Liberia that will cater to every Liberian no matter where he or she is. Today as we celebrate our second anniversary as a political party, am happy to be in Buchanan with you.”
