Mrs. Sherman is one of the many nominees who sailed smoothly passing through confirmation by the Liberian Senate Committee on Health, Gender, Children and social protection. The committee is chaired by Senator Peter Coleman of Grand Kru County.

She holds a B.S RN. MPM, MMedSci. Her husband, a former chairman of Unity Party was elected in 2014 during the special senatorial election. His induction as Senator of Cape Mount was delayed by legal issues.
