The beneficiary institutions included Youths Camp Public School, Gbokolleh Elementary Public School, and Elder John T. T. Gayflor Daycare School, a private institution.
Through generous sponsorship from the Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) and the Insurance Company of Africa (ICA), the initiative distributed school bags, shoes, copybooks, pens, and pencils to more than 70 students, many of whom had struggled to obtain basic educational materials.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Amb. Yayehsorie Jalloh, Executive Director of Yayeh Initiative Inc., lauded the partners for their steadfast collaboration and commitment to empowering young Liberians through education.
“Education remains one of the strongest forces for transformation,” Amb. Jalloh said.
“At Yayeh Initiative, we believe every child, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and succeed. These donations reflect our ongoing effort to uplift young people and build stronger, more resilient communities.”
Administrators and students of the beneficiary schools expressed profound appreciation, describing the gesture as both timely and inspiring.
They noted that the items would help keep many students in school and improve their academic performance.
The outreach forms part of Yayeh Initiative’s broader mission to promote education, youth development, and community empowerment across Liberia, a mission rooted in compassion, impact, and hope for a brighter future.
