Liberia: President Boakai Receives Mother of Light Delegation at Executive Mansion

Monrovia- President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., last Wednesday, received in audience a delegation from the Mother of Light Center at the Executive Mansion.

The delegation comprised Mr. Abdullah Chahni, Madam Sharon Cooper, Bishop Guy-Paul Noujaim, Ms. Gabrielle Debaneh, Cllr. Charles Noujaim, and Mr. Sami Fahed. They were escorted to the Office of the President by Ambassador-at-Large Ora Richards and the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Honorable Gbeme Horace Kollie.

The Mother of Light Center, founded in 2019, is a Catholic non-profit organization dedicated to serving the poor, the homeless, and vulnerable families. The Center has made significant humanitarian contributions across communities, including the distribution of over seven hundred thousand pounds of food from 2024 to 2025.

In 2024 alone, the Organization provided more than 45,000 meals, along with clothing, furniture, and essential personal items to people in need.

Receiving the delegation, President Boakai expressed appreciation to Bishop Guy-Paul Noujaim and members of the delegation for their humanitarian efforts and their commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.

The President commended the Organization’s impactful work and reaffirmed his Administration’s support for initiatives that promote social protection and community welfare.

President Boakai further pledged to visit the Mother of Light Center in Grand Bassa County as part of his continued engagement with institutions contributing meaningfully to national development and social upliftment.
