Monrovia – FrontPage Africa has gathered from a reliable source that the Liberia News Agency (LINA) has allegedly suspended one of its employees for discussing the LRD$15 billion saga on Facebook.

This paper has also gathered from the source that the Director General of the institution, Director Kwame O. Weeks has warned all employees of the agency not to discuss the issue of the alleged missing container of money.
The well-placed source said, Weeks issued a stern warning that any employee caught discussing the issue would be suspended or fired.
But when contacted, the Director General of LINA, Kwame O. Weeks denied the allegation of suspending an employee of his institution.
“That’s not true, and is not to my knowledge,” he said.
When contacted, the alleged suspended employee declined to comment, and also pleaded that his/her identity not to be revealed in this report.
Weeks, according to our source, said he sees the Facebook post of the alleged missing container full of money as a mockery of the government.
“He said you can’t be working in the government entity and be discussing the money or saying negative things about the government,” Weeks is quoted as saying.
According to the source, early Wednesday morning an urgent meeting was convened with all staff of the institution (LINA) particular to advise them to refrain from discussing the missing billions saga and concentrate on their job.
“He brought the issue up in the meeting on Wednesday and said how people here in this office don’t want to see the office, don’t want to see the moving forward of this office. Maybe some of us don’t know the TOR of this entity; anywhere someone works they’re supposed to know the TOR, [they’re] supposed to know what the entity (LINA) stands for. There are things you should do and should not do, so moving forward, I’m going to suspend one person,” source added.
