Liberia: GoL Shifts Vehicle Registration and Licensing to LTM Under New Traffic Management Reform

The Government of Liberia (GoL) in keeping with a concession agreement has authorized the Liberia Traffic Management (LTM) to carry on the issuance of vehicle registrations, driver licenses and other traffic management services and all payments.

In a statement issued at the weekend, the government maintained that this transition marks a significant step towards modernizing infrastructure and enhancing road safety.

“Rest assured, all existing documents issued before July 16, 2025, will remain valid, and LTMI will ensure a smooth transition for all new processes,” said the statement.

“We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the new procedures and plan accordingly. Together, we can achieve improved efficiency and service delivery that all Liberians will benefit. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work towards a safer and more efficient traffic management system for our beloved country.”

With a call to drive forward with optimism and unity, the Liberian government disclosed that all Prices remain the same, though with faster services that come with no additional charges or payment.
