MONROVIA, LIBERIA — The Garwula kickball team has taken an early lead in the Grand Cape Mount County division of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) league, securing seven home runs across three matches over the weekend.

Garwula began their campaign with an 8–4 victory over Kinjor United Girls, followed by a 5–5 draw against the Mano kickball team.
They then wrapped up the weekend with a 2–1 victory over Tewor United Sisters.
Musa Kamara, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of tGarwula team, praised the team’s performance, noting that two wins and a draw are an encouraging step forward in their quest to win the county title.
“We are happy because we have not sustained any defeat in the league due to the continued understanding between our team head coach and his players,” Kamara said.
Kamara also praised head coach Musa J. B. Johnson for his dedication, while urging the technical staff to look beyond the field of play by supporting the players’ educational and health needs.
“I wish our team a convincing win in our next match against Sinje, and to my players, please continue to follow the rules of the game for the common growth of your kickball skills,” Kamara added.
Tewor United Reacts to Defeat
In contrast, Tewor United CEO Tonia C. Fahnbulleh expressed disappointment over the team’s weekend loss but encouraged his players to bounce back in their upcoming matches.
Fahnbulleh blamed the defeat on the players’ defensive lapses, particularly during the third innings where they failed to prevent their opponents from getting a home run.
“I hope you will learn from the past mistakes made against your opponents that led to your defeat and better prepare yourselves for your next game so that you will deliver a win,” Fahnbulleh told his squad.
