According to him, deceitful politicians who spent many years abroad are now convincing eligible voters to vote them into power.
He observed that these political scammers and looters were not around when citizens where faced with and combating numerous challenges through the help of others.
Mr. Sesay made these comments when he received an overwhelming endorsement from a group calling itself “TABS Girls Brigade” – a female dominant group of over 1,000 members.
The event which was held Thursday, August 31, 2023 on the sports pitch of Red Hill Field Community, witnessed the turnouts of over 5,000 citizens of Montserrado County Electoral District #17.
He said citizens should desist from selling their votes or giving ears to lies and deceptions that are being permeated by those contesting for elected positions.
According to him, there are some candidates who do not live in the district, some hold foreign statuses, but are masquerading various districts to be elected as Representative or Senator in the ensuing elections.
Mr. Sesay described these individuals as fake individuals ho have miserably failed their citizens in the past, but now value and cherish them so much because they need their votes.
He, however, vowed to deliver the district from these failed political looters and scammers, who are only contesting the elections to enrich themselves and impose more hardship on the citizens.
He, however, vowed not to dash the hopes and aspirations of his people when elected to the National Legislature.
While thanking the “TABS Girls Brigade” and residents of the district for their support towards his bid, the CPP Representative candidate reminded them to vote #26 on the ballot, saying it his spot.
“Today is my happiest day since 2017 because it is the first time for hundreds of beautiful ladies to support me; I will never disappoint you, my people because you have shown real commitment for a positive change,” he averred.
Mr. Sesay assured the citizens that their decision taken to support him did not come as a surprise and was not a mistake.
He used the occasion to call on citizens to collectively work together in order to move the district forward.
He said collectively, the district will more forward and be on par with other districts across Liberia in terms of growth and development.
At the same time, the CPP representative candidate urged the people of district #17 to vote for the Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Party, Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings as Liberia’s next president.
“My great people, I want to remind you about the power of your voter cards. Do no mind those ones who are just coming to fool you – they are so so vlah who failed you in the past and continue to keep the district and your lives backwards.”
Also remarking at the occasion, the CPP political leader, Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings reiterated that real change is coming for the citizens of district #17 and Liberia.
“I want to urgent you to vote for your incoming representative, Mr. Abraham Carlison Sesay, and me, Mr. Cummings the number four person on the ballot box as your next president; we need to work together to change this country and fix the spoiled system,” Mr. Cummings intoned.
Making a brief statement, the Chairperson of the “TABS Girls Brigade”, Madam Haja Farmah said Mr. Sesay is the only political candidate, who has prioritized women’s development and human capacity.
She added that the women of the district can never be ungrateful to not support the candidacy of the CPP representative candidate ahead of the October 10, 2023 elections.
“Mr. Sesay, we don’t call you Mr. Development because you’re fine or because you’re contesting, but you’re Mr. Development because you know the suffering, hardship and misrepresentation we have gone through. We are with you and comes October 11, 2023, we will come back here to celebrate your victory,” the TABS Girls Brigade Chair noted.
