MONROVIA – Mrs. Teresa Cummings, wife of the ANC political leader is COVID-19 positive, her husband has disclosed.
Mr. Alexander Cummings, in a brief statement, stated that he was informed by his wife, who was scheduled to travel out of the country today, of her health status today while he was in Gbarnga en route to Nimba where he was to have a five-day working visit.
He immediately returned to Monrovia – postponing the visit to Nimba.
He, however, disclosed that his wife is fine and not showing any symptoms of the virus at the moment, but they are both self-quarantining as he prepares to take a COVID test on Tuesday.
Cummings: “I apologize to the people of Nimba for canceling the last leg of my visit at the last minute. I urge everyone to continue to abide by preventive health measures. COVID-19 is real, and unfortunately, is still with us.
“Please keep my family in your prayers, as ours will be that you continue to act to keep yourself and your love ones safe.”
