In the day’s headline football fixture, the “Cassava Leaf Boys” produced a statement performance. Despite playing with ten men for the entire second half, Cape Mount dismantled Bong County in a 3-0 rout.
Ralph Weah was the hero of the day, netting a brace that punished a disorganized Bong County defense. The “Westerners” now sit comfortably at the top of the group with 6 points from two games, while Bong County remains rooted to the bottom with zero points and no hope of progression.
Nimba Rescues Point in Dramatic Comeback
The late game saw “Mountainous Nimba” stage a heart-stopping recovery to keep their semi-final dreams alive.

The “Gbasajama Girls” remain the team to beat in this year’s competition.
Meanwhile, in other zonal action, Margibi County outclassed River Gee 4-1, keeping the “Gibibi” girls in the hunt for the title.
