The ceremony took place on the grounds of the Executive Mansion and saw the official handover of, Six modern fire trucks, three water trucks, two operational Jeeps, ten motorcycles for rapid response and public engagement.

President Boakai said the initiative is a direct response to the urgent need to modernize the country’s firefighting force, under the Administration’s ARREST Agenda for national development.

“These equipment will not sit in garages,” President Boakai declared. “They are tools of service—tools that represent our duty to protect every Liberian community from the devastating impact of fire outbreaks. This Government is determined to build a Liberia where citizens feel safe, and institutions are empowered to deliver.”

The President used the occasion to call for professionalism within the LNFS and urged the public to support fire safety measures across the country.

Receiving the equipment, Fire Service Director Col. G. Wasuwah Barvoul, Sr., called it a historic milestone for the institution.

“For too long, we’ve worked with limited resources,” he said. “Today’s commissioning is not just about vehicles—it’s about restoring confidence in our ability to protect this nation.”

Col. Barvoul said the new fleet will be deployed immediately across key regions, prioritizing fire-prone and underserved areas. He assured the public that trained personnel are already in place to manage and operate the equipment effectively.

Administration’s officials say the move forms part of the Boakai administration’s broader agenda to rebuild public institutions and ensure essential services reach every corner of the country.
