“Give to Someone Love for May Not See Them Again” – President Sirleaf

Monrovia – President Ellen Johnson has called on Liberians to give to someone love for you may not see them again.

According to an Executive Mansion release, President Sirleaf made the remarks at the Thanksgiving and Intercessory Worship Service in observance of the 168th Independence Anniversary of the nation held at the Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church on Broad Street in Monrovia.

Earlier, the Liberian leader called for the observance of a moment of silence in supplication amid the passing away of Dr. Edward B. McClain, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, whom she described as “a small brother, brother, friend and a great wit”.

Delivering the sermon at the Thanksgiving and Intercessory Service, the Rev. Dr. Nathaniel E. Zarway and Bishop of the  Greater Refugee Temple on Front Street in Monrovia – reading from the Book of Act; challenged Liberians to put their trust in God because as in his words” “God never fails”.

Intercessory prayers for peace, reconciliation and thanksgiving were said on behalf of the nation and its people.
