MARGIBI COUNTY – A tragic head-on car crash has left two people dead and one critically injured on the main streets of Kakata in Margibi County.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the speeding white pickup truck, heading from Monrovia on late Friday afternoon under a heavy downpour of rain, reportedly collided head-on with a red PRIMA truck with plate marked H0929 on the opposite lane.
Two male occupants riding in the front passengers’ seat along with the driver of the white pickup truck with the inscription “AFRICA HEARTWOOD PROJECT” sustained bodily injuries, including hands and legs fractures.
The two men and the driver were rushed to the Barcolleh Health Center but were later transferred to the Kakata Health Center, an alternative to the Charles Henry Rennie Memorial Hospital, due to the critical nature of their case.
Two persons including the driver were later pronounced dead on arrival by doctors on call.
The identities of the deceased remain unknown as officers of the traffic division of the Liberian National Police Margibi County Detachment told FrontPageAfrica that they have launched ian nvestigation into the fatal collision.
There was, however, no fatality reported from the side of the PRIMA truck that was conveying bags of charcoal.
