Buchanan, Grand Bassa County – The stander bearer of the Liberty Party Cllr. Charles walker Brumskine has declared that there is no Presidential job vacancy in Grand Bassa County, adding that the Bassa people have resolved to vote their own son to the presidency.
Cllr. Brumskine made the statement to thousands of supporters who turnout on his campaign launch in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County which is known to be the stronghold of the Liberty Party. The launch was held last Saturday, September 23.
“See how great this crowd is, this clearly shows that my brothers and sisters have agreed to support me come October 10, this year,” Cllr. Brumskine said.
He added: “This turnout has proven that you are prepared to make a change no matter the conditions you find yourselves in today.”
Cllr. Brumskine in his official message to his people committed himself to providing free education for every Liberian when elected as President.
The political leader of Liberty Party said the party’s government will make sure that every public school is absolutely free of charge to every Liberian.
“In order to revamp the school system in Liberia, teachers that are teaching for little or nothing need to be paid satisfactorily; schools have to be equipped with text books, and other stationaries ”,Brumskine mentioned.
The Liberty Party Political leader said that the LP-led government will also set up computer laboratories in all of the public schools so that students can start learning computer science at an early age.
“We will also launch a program called ‘Learn and Like to Be Program’ which seeks to place a prime focus on directly collaborating with and contributing to the betterment of the disabled and children between ages 3-5,” he said.
Cllr. Brumskine further told the citizens that Liberia is going to be taken to another level through jobs creation, health, roads and infrastructure development when he’s elected as President.
“The LP government is prepared to get rid of corruption in Liberia and there is no vacancy for people that are corrupt in Liberia,” Brumskine asserted.
Citizens of the five electoral districts in Grand Bassa County turned out in a huge number for the first time since Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine joined the Presidential raise in 2005 and 2011.
According to observers, Saturday’s turnout for the launch in Grand Bassa County is the biggest political gathering ever in the history of the county as supporters who flooded the streets in their thousands to escort Cllr. Brumskine spent over two hours marching from Monrovia Junction to the Unification Pavilion which is normally a 20 minutes distance.
