Algeria   Demolish Liberia In AFCON 2025 Qualifiers

The Algerian national team dominated Liberia with a resounding 5-1 victory in the sixth round of the African Nations Cup 2025 qualifiers. The match was held at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed Stadium, where Algeria’s superiority was evident from the start.

Algeria’s goals were scored by Aïssa Mandi at the 22nd minute, Riyad Mahrez at the 30th, Baghdad Bounedjah at the 66th, Amine Gouiri at the 75th, and Mohamed Amoura, who scored during added time at the 90+6 minute.

Liberia’s lone goal came from Sampson Dweh at the 7th minute.

With this win, Algeria solidified its position at the top of Group E in the qualifiers, securing their spot in the continental tournament set to be held in Morocco in 2025.

Liberia, on the other hand, saw their chances of advancing come to an end, concluding their participation in the qualification phase.

Liberia, however, finished at the bottom of the group with four points and will have to wait again to try to reach the nations cup.

Lone Star’s last appearance at the Nations cup was in 2002.
