Monrovia – Normal learning activities came to a standstill on the Ashmun Street campus of ‘More Than Me’ Academy (MTM) when Erica Davis-Cole, a member of the Montgomery family, stormed the campus of the school on grounds that the school’s authority is illegally occupying their family building.

The scene, which almost turned into turmoil, was quickly put under control by officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP).
According to bystanders, the chief executive officer of the More Than Me, Katie Meyler, was allegedly attacked by Ms. Cole.
One bystander told FrontPage Africa that Ms. Meyler tried to get back into the fence of the school after she noticed that Ms. Cole was coming towards her but was nearly prevented by Ms. Cole, who grabbed her (Katie) by the arm.
Katie showed her torn blouse to our reporter, who arrived few minutes later on the scene. It had been allegedly torn by Ms. Cole when she forcibly grabbed her.
Ms. Cole admitted attacking Katie because of her (Katie’s) refusal to leave their property.
“She is squatting on our property; she is attacking me, too, by being on our property,” she protested.
The Montgomery family early February 2018 accused General Service Agency (GSA) Director-General Mary Broh and Grace Kpaan, former Superintendent of Montserrado County, of signing an alleged shady deal with More Than Me to confiscate their property.
Speaking to journalists, the public relations officer of More Than Me, J. Kenneth Mantu, disclosed that the Montgomery family has a lawsuit against them in court.
Mantu further said the court made it clear that the building is not for the Montgomery family nor for More Than Me rather it is for the government of Liberia.
“It is the government of Liberia that gave More Than Me this building.”
“Since the government filed in the motion of intervention, Madam Montgomery and her daughter are becoming too wild,” More Than Me PRO said.
Mantu continued: “They harassed us every day.”
“If you go to the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy, National Archive, and to the Cartography Office, you will see that this property is labeled RL (Republic of Liberia).
It is the Government of Liberia that gave us this property.”
Mantu also added that his employer is going to write a formal complain to the court and other relevant authorities pertaining to the continued attack from the Montgomery family.
