Monrovia – United Bank for Africa (UBA) Liberia proudly joined the rest of the continent in commemorating Africa Day, a celebration of Africa’s unity, cultural richness, and progress.
This year’s celebration kicked off with a lively display of African dance and culminated in an elegant African runway show, symbolizing UBA’s strong presence in 20 African countries. The runway featured fashion inspired by the diverse cultures across the continent, with a special spotlight on Liberian traditional attire.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Dennise Nimpson stated: “One of the things that stood out this year was the captivating display of Liberian culture from performances to fashion that reflected our Liberian heritage.”
As part of the celebration, UBA Liberia is also inviting the public to participate in the festivities through a specially organized Africa Day competition. This initiative offers individuals a chance to showcase their creativity and knowledge of Liberian culture for an opportunity to win exciting cash prizes.
