Monrovia – Many believe Charismas is a time to identify with the needy, because according to christans it is the birthday of their savior whom the Bible called Jesus.

Many see this part of the December as a time to be kind to others by sharing gifts.
And just as the Christmas nears, Petro-Trade Liberia has identified with some less fortunate kids.
The Company, on Wednesday, visited the Great commission and the Divine Academy Orphanages in chicken factory and Paynesville.
The gesture, according to its marketing manager, Jefyne Togba is the company way of giving back to the communities in which they operate.
“At Petro-Trade we definitely believe in giving back to communities in which we operate. In doing so this Christmas, we are doing a few different things. We are giving away, cloth, food items, and school supplies to several orphans in orphanages in Monrovia”, said Jefyne Togba
“Tomorrow we will be donating to hospitals and clinics’ including the Phebe Hospital in Bong County, and Kingsville community clinic and this is our way of showing to the community that we care.
“Cooperate social responsibility is very important to us so this charismas we want to make it a cheerful one for those who are less fortunate.”
In furthered comments she said, the company feel identifying with orphans is important because lot of kids who are with their parents are talking to their friends about their Christmas gifts.
She said since don’t have people to celebrate with and they are not expecting gifts.
“So just to bring that sense of joy back to the kids we taught in addition to the things they need cloths and school supplies, we brought them some toys.
This is not the first time the company is doing such. We this every holiday season,” she said.
Many kids are feeling excited and some are also surprise because lot of the toys they are getting are new toys and this is not something they get often.
Petro-Trade is a Liberian base importer of Petroleum products our retail outlet most people know as Liberia petroleum and super Petroleum.
In response to the Petro-Trade gesture, Pastor Alphonso Harris commended them for the gesture which he described as great.
“We received it with honor and I appreciate them for what they have done to remember the orphans at this time and wish God continuous blessing.
This is an unexpected gift that came so it is enough we appreciate it,” Pastor Harris said.
The orphanage home has close to 48 orphans with 28 boys, 20 girls.
In 2013, the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and Petro Trade signed a US$3.4 million agreement.
The agreement is aimed at rehabilitating the damaged Oil Terminal in Ganta, Nimba County to a state-of an art terminal.
