The factory is located along the Jamaica Road, Freeport community. He said, all equipment and raw materials needed for the production are available and production will begin in early January of 2023.

“Our mission is to produce high-quality mayonnaise in Liberia and our brand name will be called the Blue Lake, named after the Blue Lake in Bomi County.”

He also said, the mayonnaise with the quality compared to imported mayonnaise cost will be available and affordable and will reduce the burden Liberians face with getting it because, according to him, most of the raw materials needed for the production which are water and vegetable oil will be acquired locally.

The value of the project is around one million United States dollars. The motivation behind the establishment, according to Houssein, is informed by a market study which shows that out of 10, 7 Liberians love mayonnaise.

“The company will also provide jobs for Liberians and train them in producing mayonnaise. We believe in our brand and we will be competitive when it comes to the cost.”
