In response to the petition statement, the National Chairperson Madam Swaray praised the women of Bomi County for endorsing the President’s second term bid.
“The women of Bomi County have spoken. You people are so great. I want to say that on behalf of the President, I want to say thank you so much,” Madam Swaray said.
According to the CDC National Women League Chairperson, the President of Liberia has a strong interest when it comes to empowering women.
“We want to tell you that when it comes to empowerment, we are going to take Bomi County to our heart,” she said.
Also, Bomi County Senator Edwin Snowe said the people of Bomi County most especially the women, are sincere.
“The women of Bomi, when they say they are with you, go and sleep,” Senator Snowe said.
He added: “Don’t take them for granted. They need empowerment. These women are women of substance that is why am here with them today.”
“I tested them in 2017, I tested them in 2020, and they delivered. So today as you have come here to make Bomi County your first county to begin your counties tour, you should make Bomi the first county for women empowerment. If you pay attention to our women they will deliver,” Mr. Snowe said.
